Murphy's Spud Truck
Gloria Bergerson was working FIFO in WA several years ago and was at a log-chop competition when she noticed a baked spud food trailer with a small notice tacked on the side - "For Sale."
Soon, Gloria had her own business doing something she loved, and a pretty old trailer to work from.
Four years later and Gloria has added an Iveco Daily cab chassis to her business with a custom-made kitchen body that cost more than the Daily. "I just felt like I should grow the business," she said.
With help from her daughter Kirilee, plus the odd grandchild every now and then, Gloria's Murphys Spuds is in hot demand across WA's busy show and local food truck network. A range of menu items gets the juices flowing and keeps the queues busy no matter what the action on the oval.
The rig works so well, there's likely to be another Iveco Daily in the spud business pretty soon.
