ACCO range overview
IVECO's new ACCO range shares many of the same features as the award-winning S-Way but has been developed to meet the needs of specialist vocational applications including refuse work.
The range is available in both 6x4 and 8x4 configurations (with load share front suspension on 8x4) and feature IVECO's 8.7L, Euro 6 (Step E) Cursor 9 engine - buyers can select from two output ratings spanning with up to 360hp and 1,650Nm available. The standard transmission across all models is the proven Allison 3200 6-speed fully automatic, a favourite for demanding stop and start applications.
Wheelbases include 3800mm, 4200mm, 4500mm and 4800mm for 6x4 variants, while the 8x4 comes in a choice of 5020mm, 5300mm and 5600mm. GVM and GCM for the 6x4 range is 27600kg, and 28500kg for 8x4 models. All ACCO models are exclusively available with Active Day cabins
Powerful yet efficient engines
With its Euro 6 (Step E) engine line-up, the new ACCO offers some of the 'cleanest' conventional diesel engines available. These lower emissions don't come at the expense of performance though, with the range topping 8.7l engine available with up to 360hp and 1,650Nm. Other benefits of the engine line-up include a time-saving passive exhaust regeneration system that does not require driver intervention.
Proven Allison fully automatic transmission
Given the demanding start and stop vocational work that most ACCOs will undertake, all models are equipped with Allison's proven 3200, 6-speed fully automatic transmission. Along with reducing driver fatigue compared to a manual, the 3200 is extremely robust and designed to cope in high payload and high temperature applications. As a full torque converter automatic, power and torque delivery is also instant.
Body builder-friendly vocational cab chassis
In developing the latest ACCO, IVECO consulted heavily with vocational industries including refuse collection. The result is a honed chassis layout with clean rails and easy integration between the cab chassis and bodies, including the more complex body types found in the waste industry.
Enhanced safety
The new ACCO introduces a suite of advanced active and passive safety features to help keep the driver and other road users protected including Advanced Emergency Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning System and Front Underrun Protection.
Quiet and comfortable cabins
The latest ACCO models enjoy an extremely well equipped and sound proofed cabin and offer a long list of driver appointments. There's also far greater visibility and added space, compared to earlier ACCO models, with drivers provided increased storage options for PPE and personal belongings. The all-new cabin also allows for seamless fitment of dual control components in relevant models.
